A last-wicket stand of 17 saw Thornham to victory in a thrilling Norfolk Cricket League Div 1W clash at Snettisham on Saturday.Ben Harris guided his side home with an unbeaten 48 alongside last man Micah Randall, who failed to trouble the scorers, joining him at the crease with the score on 177.Earlier in the innings, Manoharan Murugesan made a crucial knock of 56, hitting six boundaries and two maximums, after Thornham had found themselves in trouble at 31 for 3 at one stage.Lloyd Osborne picked up 3-38 from his 10 overs.The Snettisham innings of 190 was built around solid knocks from Jack Johnson (60), Daniel Fuller (40) and Matthew Herbert (35).Adam Rose was the most successful Thornham bowler, picking up 3-24 from his 10-over spell.The win saw Thornham leapfrog Snettisham into third spot in the league standings. Elsewhere in 1W, Castle Rising were skittled out for just 74 by Felthorpe chasing 225 for victory. It was a blank weekend for all three West Norfolk representatives in Div 2W with Hockwold A, Fakenham B and Swaffham A all suffering defeats.Over in Div 3W, Great Ellingham top the table, as Adrian Cooper hit 66 in their win at Gooderstone, who are the highest-placed West Norfolk side in the table. while Aldborough are now second.Dersingham and Sandringham and Castle Rising A find themselves in the bottom reaches of the table.
