Stock Car and Banger Racing returns to Lynn for an unusual in-season Sunday date this weekend (1pm) with racing coming from the 2L Stock Cars, 1300 Stock Cars, 1600cc Bangers and Junior Bangers.Plenty of cars are booked in for each formula for what is looking like a great afternoon of action. Our local 2L Stock Car stars are chomping at the bit to get back on track and will be confident of success.Austen Freestone was the final winner the last time the 2L Stock Cars were at Lynn. Surprisingly this was Austen’s first feature race victory at his local track but don’t be surprised if he doubles up this Sunday.Hunstanton’s Chris Masters – who tends to prefer tarmac racing to shale – has been giving shale a real good go in 2024 and was rewarded with his first race on the loose at Northampton last Saturday. This success will come as no surprise to local fans who have just seen him at Lynn as his performances have improved with increased confidence and he has also been close to taking the chequered flag at Saddlebow Road. Keegan Sampson was also a race winner last weekend – this time at Skegness – and he will be looking to continue that form!Garry Lusher has made a fantastic debut in the 1300 Stock Cars this season and will be looking to make the most of his last outing from white before moving up the grades from May 1.There will be a number of local drivers in the 1600cc Bangers with Troy Cobbett, Reggie Turnbull, Alex Smith and Kieran Weston all set to be in action whilst the Junior Banger entry includes Jack Garrod Jnr, Morgan Bailey, William Cartwright and Daisy Reynolds.
