North West Norfolk League Division TwoMarshland Saints Reserves 3 Gayton United A 1Marshland Saints Reserves enjoyed a comfortable afternoon in the North West Norfolk League as they controlled long periods of their Division Two game against Gayton A.Wingers Josh Barber and Ivan Crisp were dangerous every time they went forward and the midfield pairing of Corey Brady and Brogan Wright were a force stopping the opposition from playing and creating many chances. The home side registered through Crisp, Asa Calton (with his belly) and Brady. The home goalkeeper slipped on a goal-kick to gift Gayton their only chance of the game which they converted through Chris Smith.Marshland Saints give a shoutout to their back four.Stuart Merritt, Gayton A team manager, said: “It was a tough return to football for the team after a three-week gap.”The lads didn’t display the levels that they have done previously but some positives too especially seeing the young lads play again.”There are lots of challenges ahead but we’re looking forward to the team’s next match where Sam (Barnes) and myself are expecting a positive response.”Saints MoM was Corey Brady while Callum Lee picked up the accolade for Gayton A.
