Linnets bring in right-sided defender

King’s Lynn Town have completed their second defensive signing in as many days with the acquisition of a former Ipswich Town academy player.The Linnets have brought in right-sided defender Dylan Crowe,22, from Torquay United.Crowe, who joins on a permanent deal from The Gulls, and arrives hot on the heels of Greg Taylor yesterday.

Linnets manager Adam Lakeland has made his second signing of the week.

Last season, Crowe made 22 National League appearances for The Gulls, before joining National League South side Havant and Warterlooville on loan earlier this season.On another defensive arrival, Adam Lakeland said “I’m delighted that we’ve managed to get Dylan to the club.“He’s at a good age, has energy, pace and good delivery from wide areas, as well as experience of playing at this level and above.”“We’ve been looking to strengthen the team down the sides of the pitch and he will give us additional qualities down the right-side.”The Linnets return to National League North action tomorrow, as they travel to Buxton FC.Crowe joined Ipswich Town’s academy at the age of 12.He signed as a full-time scholar in 2017 before penning his first professional contract with the Blues in July 2019, signing a three-year deal.His debut for Ipswich Town came in a 2–0 EFL Trophy defeat to Crawley Town before being released from Portman Road at the end of the 2021–22 campaign.
