There were heavy defeats for Heacham and Swaffham Town in Thurlow Nunn League action this afternoon while the matches involving Fakenham Town and Downham Town were postponed because of waterlogged pitches.Heacham had an afternoon to forget on the coast at Sheringham with the hosts recording a 5-0 win while Swaffham Town were beaten by the same scoreline at home to second-placed Yarmouth Town in the First Division North.The win for Sheringham leaves them four points clear of Heacham in 13th place in the Premier Division table, although the Magpies do have three games in hand.Swaffham Town are 17th in the First Division North table, five points above Leiston in 18th spot, with two games in hand.Downham Town, whose home Thurlow Nunn Premier Division game with Woodbridge Town was called off, remain just outside the final play off place, a point adrift of Dereham Town in fifth spot, with nine games to go after the Magpies lost an 11-goal thriller 6-5 at home to Mulbarton Wanderers.Fakenham Town, who are ninth in the league standings, host Walsham le Willows on Tuesday evening.
