West Norfolk athletes were out in force at the Wroxham 5k road race.Set in the North Norfolk tourist hot spot, the annual 5k not only provides a fast course but it attracts the best distance runners in the county.West Norfolk Athletics Club had a strong contingent of athletes taking part, all in the hopes of grabbing a personal best in one of the most anticipated races of the local racing calendar.First over the line for WNAC was Mitchell Bunn, finishing with an impressive 16.01 for 17th overall.Edward Murray recorded a new personal best time of 16:09 and was 23rd overall while Dominic Marray-Woods clocked 17:03 another personal best of the day.A strong finish saw Arran Reeve set 17:19 for 74th spot and Ryan Oakes crossed the line in 17:26 for 84th spot.Debutant Lewis English was 86th with a time of 17:26 and fellow newbie Karl Brown clocked 17:30 for 92nd. Ethan Ward set a new personal best time of 17:52 for 123rd and fellow youngster Thomas Murray was 151st with a time of 18:11. There was another personal best for Cassie Moden in 18:21 to finish 158th followed by Benjamin Collison in 18:43 for 186th spot.Digby Frammingham finished 256th with a time of 19:32, running with his son Charlie who clocked 19:50 after suffering from illness days prior.Evie Clayton broke the 20-minute barrier with 19:55 for a new personal best to gain a UK ranking of 54th in the female under-15 category. Ben Foxwell set 20:49 to finish 366th, followed by Rob Gosnell in 21:12 for 386th, Hanley Angell in 412th with 21:34, Henry Gosnell with 21:34 and Joel Capron with 22:52.Another race in which WNAC was heavily represented, highlighting the growth the club has made in the last few years.
