Willie Skoyles Jnr will be hoping a change of luck kick-starts his 2023 season in the BriSCA F1 stock cars when racing returns to Lynn this tomorrow (5pm).

It has been disappointing year for the Skoyles racing team who have picked up lots of damage rather than the results they would have hoped for.

It really has been a shame for local fans who were hoping for big things from the West Norfolk driver, who can’t be faulted for the dedication, enthusiasm and skill he has shown.

Skoyles has consistently shown himself to be as quick as anyone else and been well placed in races – but you can almost guarantee that if someone is going to spin out in a race they will do right in front of the 541 car and leave him with nowhere to go.

Bad luck can’t last forever and Skoyles and his many local fans will be hoping he has finally found a pair of lucky underpants and will finally get the break he and his hard-working team so deserve.

Lewis Galer will be making his first appearance of the season in the F1 stock cars.

Following a superb 2022 Galer was rumoured to have purchased the car of former World Champion Frankie Wainman.

Former karting champion Galer was a great asset to BriSCA F1 in 2022 and fans will be looking for more of the same on Saturday.

The Unlimited Banger War of the Worlds team meeting is also on the bill.

Kieran Bowman will be hoping his Predators have more of an impact that they had in the two-litre version. Fans will be delighted with the very strong team he has put together and they will be very short odds to scoop the maximum money which is on offer to the most entertaining team of the day.

It has also been great to see Team Bash back in action.

Captain Darren Fendley and running mate Sam Coote have been seconded onto the Dover Boys in recent meetings but it is great to see them back in a team event in the famous Team Bash colours.

The other local driver in action in the teams is Ashlun Woods who will be in action for The Loners.

The BriSCA F2 stock cars will complete the billing with a special meeting for white and yellow grade drivers only.

It is great to see how these drivers rise to the challenge and race with plenty of confidence when the big boys are away.

It will be interesting to see how Marcus Gilbert, Scott Aldridge, Courtney Smith, Beth Usher and Ben Coles all perform.
