Fletcher Toll struck another hat-trick as Downham Town came from behind to book their place in the Thurlow Nunn Challenge Cup semi-finals with a 4-2 victory last night.Toll took his Downham tally to 18 goals in 16 games and his second strike was rather special with a stunning overhead kick following a long throw into the box.Joint boss Craig Dickson said: “It was an impressive second half. We didn’t get into flow in the first half and made it a little bit too easy for Mulbarton to press us into difficult situations.”The second half we gained control of possession and moved them around by showing more patience in our play.“I wouldn’t say it was a stellar performance but a few moments of quality, especially the move for our third goal was very pleasing and we were deserved winners on the day.”We’re now in a semi-final and we’ve found a bit of form so who knows? There’s some good teams left in the competition but hopefully we can make this another special season at the Memorial.”Toll’s wonder strike drew Downham level early in the second half after two mistakes had seen Mulbarton lead 2-1 at the interval. The young striker converted from the penalty spot for his second before capitalising on an error to complete his treble.Recent signing Cal Davies had fired Downham in front early in the tie.
