The Division One title race in the North West Norfolk League is set to go down to the wire.Previous leaders Reffley Youth were knocked off the top by The Woottons at the weekend as Tim Kirby’s side became the third different leaders since the turn of the year. And the visiting Woottons were forced to do it the hard way as they came from a goal down to pick up a huge three points in the context of the title race.Precious Bisong fired Reffley ahead but goals from Mark Smith, Alex Vincent and David Weaver-Pope saw The Woottons, who levelled the scores going into half-time, eventually run out 3-1 winners. The title winners could be decided on the final day of the campaign (April 12)when Reffley Youth play the return fixture against The Woottons at Wootton Park, although both Dersingham A and Weeting Saxon could also still have a shout.Terrington Tigers Youth dented Dersingham A’s title aspirations as they prevailed in a five-goal thriller at Churchgateway Memorial Playing Field.Jordan Davies, Harvey Smith and Kody Turvey all registered for the hosts with Sonny Develin and Zack Kingshott replying for the visitors. Kai Mayes and Bradley Rix both found the back of the net as Ingodisthorpe Reserves triumphed 2-1 at Weeting Saxon while a brace from Wil Bromfield was enough to see West Winch William Burt to a 2-1 victory at Clenchwarton who replied through Christopher Cottey. In Division Two, King’s Lynn Soccer Club A still hold a six-point advantage at the top following a 10-4 drubbing of Shouldham.Riley Wake, Curtis Morais and Mohamed Nasr all notched trebles for the hosts with Alfie Royle scoring the other.Perhaps the match of the weekend saw Heacham Minors FC win a nine-goal thriller at home to Gaywood Utd A 5-4, as they remain third in the table, still just a point off the leaders. A hat-trick from Jordan Groom and a goal apiece for Alfie Sills and Tom Hawkins seeing them over the line.St Edmunds Hunstanton closed the gap on the teams immediately above them as they beat bottom side FC Aburi Town 2-0 at home in a routine victory. It turned out to be the Auker show with Wes Auker controlling the back line and son, Colby, scoring a brace.
