Talented Lynn teenager has Canaries contract extended

A talented Lynn footballer has just had his contract with Norwich City extended by a further two years.Kai Chiakli, 14, will remain with the Canaries until a final decision is made on him at 16 as to whether he joins the full-time academy program at Colney.The KES Acadeny pupil is currently coached by former Norwich City and Linnets centre forward Grant Holt in the under-14s academy set up.Jody Walters, head of PE at KES Academy, said: “Kai continues to develop as a young footballer at Norwich City FC.”Gaining a new two-year extension shows the potential that Norwich see in him. We will continue to support his development on and off the football pitch.”Principal Darren Hollingsworth added: “We are super proud to have Kai in our academy.”It is fantastic testament to Kai and his family on his continued success. We will continue to watch Kai’s progress and support in any way we possibly can.”
