Swaffham Town A are chasing cup glory on two fronts after booking their place in the final of the Norfolk County Primary Cup.The Pedlars clinched a 4-2 victory over Watlington Sports and Social Club at the weekend and will now meet Hockering in the final on a date to be confirmed.Harry Exley with two goals, Blake Davies and Harrison Saldiray were all on the scoresheet as Watlington Development became their latest victims in the competition.Watlington found themselves 3-0 down at the break but clawed their way back in during the second half to lose the game 4-2.Samuel Gilbert and Lewis Henderson were on target for the West Norfolk side. The A team turn their attention to another cup project this weekend when they host Watton United Reserves in the third round of the Ben Smith Memorial Cup.There was no such luck for the Swaffham Town first team, where two questionable refereeing decisions killed the game during their recent trip to Harwich and Parkeston in the Thurlow Nunn First Division North..A goal down after 29 minutes but still in the game, Swaffham’s Keenan Hall was shown red for a high foot challenge with 15 minutes to go.Two goals in the dying embers of the game for the hosts was no reflection on the game or performance of the young Pedlars side. On Saturday, third-placed Stanway Pegasus are the visitors to the Uncle Luke’s Stadium. The Essex side is used to a plastic pitch, so the hallowed Shoemakers Lane turf may provide a 12th man for the Pedlars.Swaffham Town Reserves hosted Dussindale and Hellesdon Reserves with the league leaders taking away the points with another 2-0 win.On Saturday, the Reserves are on the road to Scole United Reserves.A hat-trick for Blake Foster, and goals from Jack Parker and Vinny Marchetti sent Easton College packing with a 5-3 midweek victory.
