Stock Car and Banger Racing returns

Stock Car and Banger Racing returns to Lynn this Saturday (5pm) when the F1 Stock Cars are back in town together with the F2 Stock Cars and Unlimited Bangers.It will be an exciting night for the BriSCA F1 Stock Cars with the coveted Dave Leonard Memorial up for grabs where Norfolk’s Matt Newson will be one of the favourites to take the chequered flag!The F2 Stock Cars are in action in a special low-grade event with racing for white and yellow grade drivers only.Former 1300 Stock Car Driver Jake Banwell will be looking to get some good results and races from a generous white grading. It is a change of number for Jake with a Scottish driver racing under the 391 which Jake piloted his 1300 Stock Car under and Jake will be racing under his father John’s old 2L Stock Car number of 557.Mark Gilbert – father of current F2 pilot Marcus Gilbert – will be coming out for a play! Mark was an established driver in 2L Stock Cars 20 years ago and has also dabbled in F2 Stock Cars and is taking the opportunity to have a play in his son’s car and Marcus will no doubt be one of the most nervous spectators when the F2s are on track!Ryan Leeks will be hoping to keep his car on all four wheels after having an expensive rollover earlier in the season while Sam Russell, Ben Cole and Beth Usher will all be looking to use their Lynn experience to get amongst the silverware.The Unlimited Bangers compete the action where the annual War of the Worlds Team Meeting takes place. Kieran Bowman will lead two Predators teams into action who have had plenty of success in this event in previous seasons and Ashlun Woods – who currently leads the World of Shale Qualifying Points will be looking to take another good points haul!
