King’s Lynn maintained their recent impressive form with an emphatic 57-33 win over Birmingham at the Adrian Flux Arena on Thursday night. The PSH Environmental Stars dominated proceedings from the off to make it three victories out of three against the Brummies, and the result was never in doubt.Recent signing Jan Kvech again demonstrated exactly what he has brought to the club, and Benjamin Basso was also in excellent form with both riders unbeaten on track until Heat 15.There were several solid contributions elsewhere and Ben Cook proved a tremendous guest for the injured Nicolai Klindt as he racked up 12 points.Team boss Rob Lyon praised the contribution of Basso after the win, saying: “It was a great performance. We covered for the No.1 position really well, and we were dominant all the way through, so I’m very pleased with that.“Benjamin was superb for us tonight, and Jan is a bright, shining light in the whole situation we’re faced with.“For a rider who’s 22 years old, he looks like he’s been riding here for years. He’s taken to it very well, and he is very calm and mature on the bike. We just need to find two more like him. “I knew Ben Cook would be good value, he likes this place and he’s kicked on this year again as we saw tonight, so I was always confident he would be a good guest for us.” Kvech then produced a great ride to go around Wiktor Lampart to win Heat 7, meaning Stars led 28-14 before a break was taken due to the setting sun.The Czech reeled off his third win in Heat 11 in another Lynn 4-2 as Brennan threw a chain for the Brummies, a fate which would befall him again two races later with Kvech and Basso this time combining over Worrall to take the Stars above the 50-point mark.King’s Lynn 57: Jan Kvech 14, Benjamin Basso 13+2, Ben Cook 12, Patryk Wojdylo 9, Niels-Kristian Iversen 7+2, Anders Rowe 2, Tobiasz Musielak r/r.Birmingham 33: Piotr Pawlicki 10, Justin Sedgmen 8+2, Tom Brennan 7, Steve Worrall 5, Wiktor Lampart 2, Leon Flint 1+1, Fredrik Lindgren r/r.
