King’s Lynn Speedway have confirmed that locally-based Mapus-Smith and Lemmon LLP chartered accountants have renewed their support for the 2025 season. The firm will once again be club partners as the Stars head into the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership campaign. With offices in King’s Lynn, Downham and Wisbech, Mapus-Smith and Lemmon LLP employ just under 50 staff and serve a wide range of clientele in East Anglia, as well as working with numerous businesses nationwide. They are providers of all accounting, audit and tax services as well as being able to provide advice on company growth. And they are also heavily involved in local community events looking to raise money for good causes.Senior partner Paul Farrow said: “Buster (Chapman) has been one of our clients for many years, and we just want to support him in everything he does.“Whenever our staff attend the Adrian Flux Arena they always enjoy their nights at the speedway, and being partners of the club is also showing our commitment to the town. Anything like that is good for us. “Everyone is looking forward to this season. Let’s hope we have better weather than last year, especially early on, so if someone can organise that it would be good! “We’re doing it for Buster, we want to support him as much as we can, and we hope it’s a great season.”The renewal of Mapus-Smith and Lemmon LLP as partners is another boost for the club with the new season now fast approaching.Owner Keith Chapman said: “It’s great to be able to retain another valued local partner from 2024 into a second season. “Once again this brings stability to the club and we’re very pleased to be working with such a well-established and professional local business.“I have a long-standing relationship with Mapus-Smith and Lemmon LLP, and I was delighted when they came on board. “What’s really pleasing is that it’s a continuation of a sponsorship which was new to speedway last year, so we’re very happy to retain that support.”The 2025 speedway season gets underway at the Adrian Flux Arena on Sunday, March 16 (3pm) with the Niels-Kristian Iversen Testimonial, and the first team event sees the Stars face Oxford in the KO Cup on Monday, March 24. Meanwhile, Lynn’s new Rising Star Ashton Boughen had a fortunate escape after crashing out of Saturday’s test match in California. The 17-year-old was racing for Great Britain, who recorded a 55-35 win against the USA in the first international clash between the nations on American soil. However, Boughen required a hospital trip after a hard fall in Heat 14 when he came to grief on the fourth bend, with concussion being the major damage. He said: “Not the way I wanted the races to go here in the States! “To have two crashes wasn’t planned, but thankful I have no broken bones – concussed with a battered body and a few hours in hospital.“Massive thanks to all
