Six of the best find race route is so prehistoric

Endurance running comes in many shapes and forms, but 6 of the West Norfolk AC athletes found their route rather more prehistoric than normal this week, when they took part in the ROARR! dinosaur park Dino Dash, hosted by Norwich Road Runners.

It’s fair to say it’s a difficult event with some very steep hills and meat eating company along the winding paths.

The junior race was a 2.5k two lap affair, with Henry Gosnell finishing in 2nd place overall, 2nd U17, in 9.08 after a blistering finish against 3rd place.

Luke Anderson was 7th overall in 10.06, 4th U13 with younger brother Ollie showing the Andersons know how to finish a race properly with a sprint to finish in 58th place with 14.09 and 17th U10.

Jessica Lawrence continues to run brilliantly with 30th place in 11.56, and was awarded the first U13 girl after the first three individuals ahead of her took the individual race placings. Abe Gosnell had a wonderful time admiring the dinos and finished in 18.32.

Following the juniors, the adult 5k race used most of the same course. Henry Gosnell entered both but took the 5k steady after his earlier efforts. Dad Rob finished in a course PB of 21.30 in 29th place and was pleased to place 3rd in the M40 category.
