Linnets head coach James Rowe is relishing the prospect of taking on Kidderminster Harriers in a battle of two National League North heavyweights tomorrow night (7.45pm).

Harriers visit The Docherty Walks Stadium in what looks to be another clash of two clubs looking for promotion this season.

Looking ahead to the game, Rowe said: “I’m expecting a well-organised team and an experienced manager.

“He (Adam Murray) replaced me at AFC Fylde when I left and he went on to win that league with my squad. Congratulations to him on that.

“He’s knowledgeable, he’s gone in the south and done well with Eastbourne and got them in the play-offs.

“In terms of Kidderminster, their budget, we know where it is. They’re a full-time outfit, so it’s going to be a great game.

“These are the games you want to be involved in, so bring it on. We’ll have our plan and it should be a really great fixture to be involved in.”

Last season, Kidderminster looked hot favourites to win the National League North going into the final game of the league campaign against Southport.

Failure to win that game and then defeat in the play-offs saw the sacking of manager Phil Brown and the subsequent appointment of Adam Murray in May.

Harriers have had a reasonable start to the 2025-26 season with just the one defeat, but have yet to find the form that made them the division’s leading goal scorers last season.

Former Lynn defender, Pierce Bird, a summer signing from Eastbourne, has been limited to just one start this season for Harriers.

After picking up their first win at home against Merthyr Town on Saturday, captain Michael Clunan is hoping for another good performance in what will be Lynn’s first midweek fixture of the campaign.

“It’s always a cracker under the lights,” said Clunan.

“I love Tuesday nights here. Hopefully, there’ll be a bit of zip on the pitch and a bumper crowd.

“Kidderminster are a big side and it’ll be a tough test, but it’s the sort of game you look forward to.”

In the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup, King’s Lynn Town have been drawn away to National League South outfit Chesham United.

Chesham are currently 13th in the league table and the clubs last met in April 2018 with Lynn running out 3-1 winners.

The tie will be played on Saturday, September 13.
