Two rising stars from West Norfolk Swimming Club, Olivia Bradford, 13, and Rejus Mazeika, 13, were selected to join the Norfolk County team for the GoCardless National County Team Championships on Sunday.The prestigious event took place at the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield.They were joined by West Norfolk coach Oli Kenny, who was selected to join the coaching team supporting the swimmers throughout the championships.The GoCardless National County Championships is a highlight in the competitive swimming calendar, bringing together top swimmers from counties across England and Wales.The event offers young athletes the opportunity to compete at a high level and gain valuable experience on a national stage.The selection of Olivia and Rejus is a testament to their dedication, hard work, and performances throughout the season earningthem a well-deserved place on the Norfolk County team. “We are thrilled to see Olivia and Rejus selected to represent Norfolk,” said Sarah Vanderloo, head coach at West Norfolk Swimming Club. “Their commitment to training and passion for the sport are commendable and they will join talented swimmers from other clubs across the county to represent Norfolk.”The pair competed alongside their Norfolk teammates against some of the best swimmers from other counties.This experience not only challenges them but also provides an opportunity to showcase their talent and bring recognition to Norfolk swimming.
