Wet weather played its part last weekend with just a small handful of fixtures beating the rain in the North West Norfolk League.
West Lynn are still awaiting their first points of the season but came close in the 12-goal thriller against Ingoldisthorpe Reserves. Thomas Hostx scored a hat-trick for Thorpe to add to goals from Vitalij Jermilov, Ant Kelly and Kai Mayes (2) to see them record a 7-5 away win. Owen Garnham, Ryan Higgins, Kian Pedder-Smith and Jacob Summersgill were all on target for West Lynn.
KLSC FC Reserves bounced back from last week’s defeat to Docking to overcome Watlington Reserves 5-3. Joshua Gray scored a brace to complement goals from Darren Carter, Harry Daw and Danny Hazell.
In the Junior Cup, it was terrible twos for Terrington and Reffley. Terrington went down 2-0 against Watlington of the Anglian Combination and Reffley lost by the same scoreline on Tuesday night to Thetford Town Under 23.
West Winch rose to second in Division 2 with a 10-0 thrashing of Gayton United A. David Edgar struck on four occasions whilst Les Barry, Aaron Walker, Ben Youngs, Daniel Griffith and Matthew Lancefield were also on the scoresheet.
Weeting Saxons remain top of the division and continued their good form with a 5-1 win against Watlington Development. Daniel Murphy also found four goals to add to James Langley’s effort. Robbie Reeve was on target for Watlington.
