It was a frustrating night for West Norfolk drivers on home soil when the F1 stock cars were in action together with the two-litre stock car English Championship.

Austen Freestone endured a tough night in the two-litre stock cars when he blew up his engine in his second qualifying heat.

He managed to source a spare engine and his team did an amazing job to change the engine for the championship race, where he was the best local finisher in tenth spot.

Chris Masters, number 177, shows good pace in the two-litre stock cars in the English Championship qualifying heats on Saturday.

The English Championship was successfully defended by Michael Allard who won the title at Taunton last year.

Hunstanton’s Chris Masters will also be pleased with his 14th-place finish.

He was also the top yellow top to complete the race and he received a special award for this.

Having just started to race shale again this year Masters will be over the moon following performances which are improving all the time!

Levin List and Keegan Sampson also put in great performances but were caught up in incidents

A ninth place in the consolation saw Heacham’s Willie Skoyles Jnr qualify for the final in the F1 stock cars and he just finished outside the top ten in 13th place.

Racing returns to Lynn on Monday (1pm) for another great Bank Holiday special featuring the big van bangers, micro bangers, F2 stock cars and junior bangers.

Kieran Bowman will be looking to continue his form from a fortnight ago as he races both banger formulas.

Perry Williamson was fantastic in the micro bangers back at Easter which was his first adult banger meeting and he returns this Monday – also with two vehicles as he races both the vans and micro bangers.

Kayleigh Sanders will also be in action in the big van bangers whilst Sam Coote and Harry Cobb will line-up in the micro bangers.

Booked to appear in the F2 stock cars are Marcus Gilbert, Beth Usher, Ben Cole and brothers Scott and Rob Aldridge whilst Jack Garrod Jnr, Morgan Bailey, Daisy Reynolds and William Cartwright will compete in the junior bangers.
