Youngsters at a West Norfolk School have their own piece of “The Shire” – made famous in the books by J.R.R. Tolkien – with a new exciting outdoor building. The ‘Hobbit’-style house has been installed at Greyfriars Academy in Lynn in the Early Years area, as part of ongoing refurbishment at the London Road school.Janet Moyle, assistant head teacher, said: “Staff are keen to further develop learning outside and the house can be adapted to meet our themes, as well as allowing for a role play home corner.“The children are very excited and have many plans as to what it can be used for, including a place where they can sit and read books quietly and have a picnic with their teddies.”
