Heacham bravely bowed out of the FA Vase on Wednesday evening when they were narrowly beaten 1-0 at St Panteleimon in their rearranged First Round tie in London.

The Potter’s Bar outfit scored the only goal of the game from a 67th-minute corner, while the visitors went close on several occasions, before and after the goal.

Before the game, Heacham announced the signing of Lynn Town youngster Marley Delgado on a month’s loan and said another two players could be temporarily coming over from The Walks.

There’s a tough Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League Premier Division test for 13th-place Heacham tomorrow (Saturday) as they welcome championship-challenging Mildenhall Town to Station Road.

Downham, Fakenham and Swaffham also have home fixtures in the Thurlow Nunn League.

In the Premier Division, Downham Town look to bounce back from their first two home defeats of the season when they entertain strugglers Kirkley and Pakefield at the Memorial Field.

Mid-table Fakenham Town also host a struggling outfit, with Long Melford, who have lost 11 of their 12 league games this campaign, visiting Clipbush Lane.

In the First Division North, Swaffham Town, who are currently 15th in the 21-team division, entertain in-form Parson Drove, who have won all their games in October.
