Narborough Cricket Club secured a decisive 60-run victory over Thornham in Division Five of the Norfolk Cricket Alliance on Saturday.Batting first after winning the toss, Narborough posted a formidable total of 223 for 6 in their allotted 45 overs.Key contributions came from Charlie Steeles, who top-scored with 61 runs, and Tom Brown, who added a valuable 42.Jonathan Coe also chipped in with a solid 33.Thornham’s Adam Rose was the standout bowler, claiming three wickets for just 20 runs in his nine overs.In response, Thornham struggled to build momentum against Narborough’s disciplined bowling attack.Despite a resilient 40 from Jacob Hewson and 32 from Finlay Hewson, Thornham were bowled out for 163 in 43.2 overs. Tom Brown starred with the ball, taking four wickets, while James Steeles and Charlie Steeles each contributed two wickets apiece. Matthew Ralph also chipped in with a wicket to seal the victory.This comprehensive win earned Narborough 25 points, while Thornham collected six points from the match.Narborough sit fourth in the league standings – just two points behind Thornham in third spot.
