Renegade Runners athlete Mitchell Bunn was in record-breaking form at the Sandringham parkrun on Saturday.Bunn crossed the line in a remarkable 17:06 — the fastest time recorded at Sandringham this year. The first female finisher, Beth Moden, celebrated a personal best with a time of 21:29.A damp and drizzly start gave way to sunshine at Sandringham as 248 enthusiastic runners and walkers took on the two-lap course around the stunning Sandringham Estate.Despite overnight rain leaving puddles in the wooded sections, spirits remained high as participants enjoyed views of flowering rhododendrons and the fresh woodland air. This week’s event saw visitors from across the UK, including Kent, Nottinghamshire, Sheffield, London, Northumbria, Dorset, Hadley, Spalding, and Milton Keynes. International guests also joined in, with runners travelling from as far as Paris.A warm welcome went out to the 63 first-timers at Sandringham, including 14 runners taking part in their very first parkrun. Milestones were also achieved: Alice Wright completed her 100th parkrun, Rachael Greenhalgh reached her 50th, while Stephanie Mocatta and Katy Gross both celebrated their 25th. In total, 35 runners recorded personal bests. As always, parkrun could not happen without volunteers.A heartfelt thank you goes to the 29 who made the morning possible, including Katy Gross, who marked her 25th volunteering stint while also running. Looking ahead, Sandringham parkrun welcomes the 5K Your Way – Move Against Cancer support group on Saturday. All are encouraged to join — walk, talk, or simply watch and show your support.
