There were a string of fine performances as West Norfolk Athletic Club attended the second match of the East Anglian League at Bury St Edmunds.The team was made up of West Norfolk AC, Dereham AC and North Norfolk Harriers.It was a valiant battle from this group of talented athletes from across all age groups, from Under 11s to Seniors.The elements were not always favourable as the winds were strong at times and those leaded skies often threatened to add rain to the challenge, but that did not deter the athletes, as some of their performances were even stronger than any wind could be.There were some really well-earned personal best performances from across the age groups, showing that all the hard work is paying off.Overall match results saw City of Norwich as the winners, followed by Yarmouth, West Suffolk, Ely composite, Peterborough & Nene Valley, West Norfolk composite, in sixth, Luton and Thetford.West Norfolkâs Under-13 girls finished fifth Sofia Gilboy, third shot put, 6.22m, seventh long jump, 2.62m. The U13 boys finished fifthMatas Petreikis, first 75m hurdles, 13.3 sec (PB), first high jump, 1.35m, first long jump, 4.11m.James Watts, second 1500m, 5m02.6sec.
