Students from the Kings Lynn Kuk Sool Won School of Korean martial arts enjoyed an incredible weekend, which culminated with the European Championships in Norwich.
The weekend started with a black belt testing which involved 15 students from the school, including school owner Darren Brown.
Six of the students were doing their promotion test so it was all on them to get things in order and show off their skills in kicking, empty hand forms, self-defence techniques and the use of certain weapons.
School owners Darren and Marie confirmed that six members were successful and passed with flying colours.
These were: Jyo Kyo Nim’s (first degree black belt) Tracey Taylor, Joscelyn Taylor, Edward Balderson, Fletcher Chilvers, Oliver Beck, Finlay Russell.
On the Sunday, it was the turn of the European Championships to take centre stage at the UEA where more than 700 competitors took part..
Lynn had a strong team of 20, and some of these competitors were completely new to the event. Entries were based on belt rank and age.
The categories included empty hand form, self-defence techniques, sparring, staff spinning, weapons form, breaking.
Lynn enjoyed lots of success winning lots of medals in lots of categories.
One team member did extremely well Kyo Sa Nim picking up a second degree black belt while Callum Mallick was crowned second degree black belt youth Grand Champion.
