It promises to be a throwback to the mid-1990s on Saturday (5pm) as two classes of bangers take to track at the Adrian Flux Arena in Lynn.

One will feature the likes of Bluebirds and Cavaliers, which was the staple diet of two-litre bangers 30 years ago, and another class will see the smaller cars such as Almeras and Sunnys.

Racing also comes from the 1300 stock cars and the junior bangers.

A large number of West Norfolk drivers are booked for action with representatives in each formula of racing.

Kieran Bowman will once again be one of the busiest drivers on the night as he races both classes of bangers.

The defending Entertainer League Champion has it all to do if he is to claw back the deficit which is currently held by World of Shale Champion Jordan Sharpe.

The crowd are sure to be entertained as Bowman sets about his task at the weekend.

The larger class of bangers will see Bowman joined by Troy Cobbett, Paul Lovick, Darryll Bradbury, Ryan Sutcliffe and Kevin and Ryley Freestone.

Cobbett is currently in his best-ever position in the National Points as he sits in second place in the table.

Paul Lovick has not been in the best of form since winning the National Championship in December and he will be hoping for more luck after ending up on his roof in his last outing.

Bradbury will be making only his second appearance in the sport whilst veteran Kevin Freestone makes his first appearance for a couple of years and nephew Riley, along with Ryan Sutcliffe, will be making their first appearances of the season.

Joining Bowman in the lower cc class are Daniel Bitson, Jack Garrod, Ash Bell and Ady Groome.

Only one real regular performer in that quartet with Bitson one of the top drivers in the 1500 bangers which is the closest formula to this one which races nowadays.

Garrod will be out for the first time in many years in what used to be one of his favourite cars while Ashley Bell, absent from racing for a year, is always one to watch.

The always-entertaining Sutcliffe makes his first Lynn appearance of the season whilst Groome has always been one to watch since his return to the tracks.

National Champion Jake Banwell will be looking for another good points haul in the 1300 stock cars whilst looking to score well in the junior bangers will be Jamie Steele, Morgan Bailey, Jack Garrod Jnr, Jack Smith and William Cartwright.
