In his weekly Bang On column, Keith Organ reflects on one of the biggest banger meetings of the season at the Adrian Flux ArenaMore than 140 cars made the journey to King’s Lynn last Saturday – coming from far and wide across the country and, as now typical of King’s Lynn fixtures, visitors from mainland Europe too; to celebrate the curtain coming down on the main race season. The Halloween Carnival night is a true highlight of the year and a fantastic night of family fun and entertainment; from 100 bangers including over 20 of them hearse or limos for the Supernatural Championship, to the usual fancy dress parade, where every child in fancy dress was given a free goodie bag. There was also a superb firework display, courtesy of White Lightning Pyrotechnics, with many going as far to say it was the best display at the track – it certainly was spectacular.Halloween night gets bigger and better every year with the last few years a sell-out night – it is a great night for the whole family. In the Unlimited Bangers, 673 Darren Fendley had a quiet night by his standards, a ninth place his best finish of the night, whilst 155 Sam Coote brought along a hearse for the occasion. It went home suitably trashed after the Supernatural Championship race – a race where 23 started and only one finished. It was a hugely entertaining race to watch. In the 1300cc Stock Cars, they were contesting the World of Shale event; 460 Garry Lusher started up in the front half of the grid, but it was perhaps a tough ask to challenge with champions galore on the grid. However, Lusher stormed to victory in the following Allcomers event and took a very strong win, he will find himself climbing the grades next year on that form. The Reliant Robins were also in attendance, with around 20 of them in action, a good night for them, with some big rollovers and competitive racing tooWe’ve got a few week’s break now until the next action on Sunday, December, 8, from 1pm – Unlimited Banger Nutcracker + 25 and Under Championship of GB and the 1600cc Banger National Championship.Visit the Trackstar website for the latest race day information for upcoming race days.We hope to see you trackside soon.
