Lynn driver back in top form at Old Skool meeting

Kieran Bowman was back on top form at Lynn last weekend with plenty of entertainer points in both classes of the Old Skool Banger meeting.

Bowman was highly rated in his Bluebird in the overs class where he delivered a top performance each time he raced and the team were as equally impressive in the pits as they pulled the car out time and time again before taking home a massive wreck.

Ryan Sutcliffe was also rated in the overs class with some very entertaining performances.

Ryley Freestone made his first appearance of the season in a very smart Bluebird and he was joined by uncle Kevin Freestone who was in great form and he took home an entertainer award for a follow in on Gareth Flatters.

Ashley Garrod was the best performer results locally results wise with a fourth place in the final which was won by Norwich’s Alex Utting.

Troy Cobbett was also in the places with a third place finish in one of his heats whilst Paul Lovick was also in the thick of the action

Ady Groome was in the places in the lower cc class with a runner-up finish in the second heat before he spectacularly crashed out of the final with a big rollover.

Jack Garrod and Dan Bitson also put in some good displays with both picking up an entertainer award with great performances in the Destruction Derby.

Garrod Jnr picked up his first Lynn victory in the junior bangers before rolling his car in the meeting final.

Jamie Steele picked up a runner-up finish in one of the heats whilst William Cartwright and Morgan Bailey also put in strong displays.

Jake Banwell suffered lots of bad luck in the 1300 stock cars and had no top ten finishes despite leading the second heat with two laps to go when mechanical gremlins saw him retire.

Stock cars take centre stage tomorrow (5pm). Action comes from the BriSCA F1 stock cars, two-litre stock cars and BriSCA MiniStox.

Willie Skoyles Jnr will be hoping for an improvement in his luck in the F1 stock cars whilst the two-litre stock cars contest their English Championship with the entry including Austen Freestone, Levi List, Chris Masters and Keegan Sampson.
