King’s Lynn Town will not field a weakened side when they host Cheshunt in the FA Cup tomorrow says boss Adam Lakeland. The Linnets hope to avoid an upset and a third home defeat on the bounce as they look to improve on last season’s early exit at the hands of Aveley.Lynn’s boss knows a cup run is important for both confidence and a financial perspective for any non-league team. But despite one tier in the footballing pyramid and 34 places separating his side from the Ambers, Lakeland refuses to field a weakened side by giving other players minutes on the pitch.Lakeland said: “We’ll be going in as strong as we possibly can because the FA Cup is the best cup competition in the world.”I know how important it is to any football club, but especially to non-league football clubs.”A good run in the cup can change a club’s fortunes for years and years if you do incredibly well and I know that Lynn loves a cup run. “They’ve had a couple of good cup runs in recent years and we’ll be fully intent and determined on progressing on Saturday. “It’s going to be a difficult game. We know we’re going to be the favourites, they’ll be the underdogs, they’ll come and it’s a massive game for them.”I’m sure they’ll make it very difficult for us, like a lot of Step Three clubs do.”We’ve just got to make sure that we rest, recover and train well. We’ll be looking forward to getting back out here next week and trying to play our game and trying to win.” Attacking players Bartosz Cybulski and Fin Whiteley are both likely to be back in the squad after recent injuries and Lakeland revealed that the former was set to go out on loan before Jonny Margetts injured his back in the defeat to Curzon Ashton last weekend.”Bart has missed quite a lot of football. He’s had two scans on a foot that’s been sore and both scans have been clear, and he’s struggled to train back-to-back days so he’s missed a lot. “We have been looking at him going out on loan to be honest, because he needs to get up to speed but with it being the FA Cup next Saturday and Jonny getting injured today he won’t be going out now next week, that’s for sure.”I want to see him a bit more resilience and a bit more robust and you know, training day by day because I know that there’s a very good footballer in there and we know that he can score. “If a player is not training every day then other players are going to be ahead of them and that’s just kind of where he’s currently at.”But as I say, things change fast in football. Jonny has got a knock today but we also have the luxury and the cup of having naming extra substitutes, so that will favour us.”It is probably likely that both Fin and Bart will be in the squad.”Isthmian League Premier Division side Cheshunt defeated Yarmouth Town 2-1 in the previous round, playing the last 35 minutes with ten men after Taylor Curren was sent off. They are without a win in their last five league outings and are still looking for their first clean sheet of the season.Tomorrow’s winners will receive £3,375 with the losers picking up £1,125.
