Linnets to host near-neighbours Norwich City in July

King’s Lynn Town will kick-off their home pre-season friendlies by hosting Championship outfit Norwich City at The Walks.

David Wagner’s side will visit the Walks on Saturday, July 8, with a 3pm kick-off before further games against Sunderland Under-23s (July 22) and Corby Town (July 29).

The visit of the Canaries will be their last on British soil before they fly out to play two games in Germany, followed by an eight-day training camp in Austria.

The visit of Corby Town at the end of July will see the return of former manager Gary Setchell.

A statement on the club’s website a short time ago said: “King’s Lynn Town are delighted to announce our pre-season schedule ahead of the 2023/24 season.

“We entertain Norwich City first, with the Canaries visiting The Walks on Saturday, July, 8, kick-off 3pm.

“Then, Saturday July 22 (kick off TBC) sees us host Sunderland U23s.

“Finally, Gary Setchell will return to The Walks when he brings his Corby Town side on July 29 (kick off TBC).”
