King’s Lynn Town have completed the signing of a central defender.

Tom Dickens, 23, arrives at the Walks, having agreed a deal to sign for Needham Market earlier in the summer.

The former Cambridge United youngster won the Supporters’ Player of the Year award in his two seasons with Sudbury, during which he made 84 appearances.

After signing for the Linnets, Dickens said: “It feels great to be here, as soon as I knew the manager was interested, I thought it would be a no-brainer to get myself involved in what’s happening here this season.

“I’m a left-sided centre-back, 23 years old, played loads of first-team football. As a person, I’ll hopefully a good addition to the group.

“I really enjoyed my time at Sudbury I had two good seasons, it allowed me to play almost 100 games for the club which has brought a lot of experience to me both as a person and player.

“I’m hoping that I can show what I learnt in my two years at Sudbury during my time at King’s Lynn.”
