King’s Lynn Town has strengthened its partnership with KES Academy as it looks to build on the progress made with the U19s programme since its inception. The scheme has been able to secure a new Hub based at KES Academy whilst continuing to develop the schools’ pitches and confirming the use of the facilities available. It is also thrilled to announce a new education partner in MIT Skills, who currently works with clubs such as Chesterfield FC, Barnsley FC, TNS, Redditch United, Worksop Town, Solihull Moors and many more.MIT Skills offers an alternative education pathway to school, having previously worked with more than 12,500 learners in the past 10 years. To help improve the programme for all players within the structure, the scheme has made a slight restructuring to all our U19s teams and leagues from next season.King’s Lynn Town U19s Academy will play in the National Alliance League Division A, the U19 Academy Shadow squad will be in the National Alliance League Division C while King’s Lynn Town U18s Academy will play in the Southern Central League.Academy director Alex Cross said: “There has been a lot of hard work put in place to make all the changes achievable. “Firstly, I would like to thank Darren Hollingsworth at KES Academy, Matt Clarke at MIT Skills and Graham Hill at the National Alliance League, all have been a great help in enabling our programme to continue to progress. “We now can offer both NCFE Sport & A-Level qualifications which is unrivalled in this area of the country, and it means that we will meet the needs of all academics.”Cross added: “Having the opportunity to have two teams in the National Alliance League and entering the newly formed Southern Central League enables us to significantly improve our games programme.”We are looking forward to competing in the three leagues and we welcome the structure that these new leagues will bring.”Anyone requiring further information on how to join or become involved with the Academy should please email Alex Cross at: alex@kltown.co.uk
