Spennymoor Town 1 King’s Lynn Town 2King’s Lynn Town stretched their unbeaten run to six games as they came from behind to claim their first-ever win at Spennymoor Town tonight.Defenders Tom Wilson and Greg Taylor both scored their first goals for the club to lift Lynn up to second in the National League North standings – just a point behind leaders Scunthorpe UnitedWilson headed home the winner four minutes from time after Taylor had cancelled out Junior Mondal’s first-half opener for the Moors midway through the second half.Linnets goalkeeper Paul Jones justified his recall to the team at the expense of Pat Boyes with an early penalty save beforeMidfielders Josh Hmami and Tommy Hughes both missed the trip up north through injury.The hosts were awarded a penalty in the seventh minute after Cody Johnson bundled Rob Ramshaw over in the box. Will Harris stepped to take it but saw his spot-kick brilliantly saved by Jones low down to his left. The breakthrough eventually arrived seven minutes before the break after Harris delivered a cross from the left and the ball eventually found its way to Mondal.Lynn grew in stature as the game wore on and the equaliser arrived midway through when Taylor rifled home Ross Crane’s ball into the box at the near-post.Spennymoor goalkeeper Brad James was called upon twice to save from Crane and Finlay Barnes as Lynn bossed the second period. The winner arrived in the 86th minute as Sam Walker put the ball on a plate for Wilson to score the winner.On Saturday, the Linnets face another tough assignment when they travel to third-placed Chorley.
