Linnets bring in defensive midfielder

King’s Lynn Town have completed the signing of Emmanuel Oke from Margate FC.

Oke, 21, is a versatile, defensive-minded player who can play in the backline as well as in midfield.

The youngster, who is 6ft 3, began his career at the age of 17, playing for Step 4 sides Corinthians and Mangotsfield United.

Oke suffered a hamstring injury at 19 that ruled him out for six months, but returned to playing with Margate, where he made upwards of 25 appearances.

On the signing of Manny, manager Mark Hughes stated “Emmanuel came onto the club’s radar through an agent.

“I did my due diligence and after speaking to Reece, the manager at Margate who is an ex-teammate, we decided to make Emmanuel an offer.

“I would like to thank Reece for his help in the deal as he was really keen for Emmanuel to go into full-time football.”

Lynn’s latest arrival says is excited by the challenge ahead.
