King’s Lynn Town are without a fixture this weekend and will not bring players into training on Saturday.Linnets boss Adam Lakeland has confirmed that the club’s players will be allowed the weekend off after securing back-to-back home wins in the last week.Lynn had been due to travel to Brackley Town but the fixture was postponed with the Saints still in the FA Cup.Speaking to the media after Tuesday night’s 4-0 demolition of Kidderminster Harriers, Lakeland said: “I think off the back of a performance like that you’d like to play, but I think the most important thing was that we won tonight with obviously having no game at the weekend.”To win here on a Tuesday night, backing up a win on Saturday, it’s been a really good three or four days for us and the lads can enjoy a weekend off now, but we’ll be back in working hard and getting ready for the next game.”It’s important that whilst we enjoy that and take confidence from it, it’s just another game and another three points.”We’ll enjoy it tonight but we’ll be in and next week and getting ready for another tough game against Scarborough.” Other than goalkeeper Paul Jones, who is waiting for a scan on his knee, and striker Gold Omotayo, Lynn currently have a clean bill of health. “He’s just still got a little bit of swelling around his knees,” said Lakeland on Jones.”We’re just gonna have to allow that to settle down and probably assess him again back end of the week and then decide what the right course of action is for him.”With several players returning from injury in the last week, Lynn’s boss has had to make some tough calls when selecting his squad. Gibraltar international Kian Ronan was even in the squad for the win against Harriers and Lakeland said: “He’s just been unfortunate to miss out and it’s a difficult one because he’s a good player and he’s a great lad.”You’ve got to make tough decisions and I think we’ve got it right in the last two games. “This goes to show the strength in depth when you’ve got a strong bench as we had tonight, but then you’ve got the likes of Kian, Gold and Paul Jones all up there.”It’s just unfortunate for Kian but you know football changes fast and he’s just got to be ready to go.”
