King’s Lynn Town went down to a third defeat in a week today as they were beaten 3-1 at National League North leaders Tamworth.

The Lambs opened the scoring early on when Liam Dolman scored following a corner and made it 2-0 through Jamie Jellis four minutes before the break. It worsened in the second half as the home side made it 3-0 through Ty Deacon after 72 minutes.

Sub Jordan Ponticelli returned from injury in the 64thminute and seven minutes time got one back for Lynn from close range.

Downham Town are back in the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League Premier Division play-off places after an excellent 4-2 home win over Thetford Town. Fletcher Toll got a brace for Town with Eoin McQuaid and James Moore also netting.

Heacham drew 1-1 at home to Brantham Athletic, with Nathan Davies their scorer, while Fakenham Town were beaten 3-1 at home by league leaders Newmarket Town. Fraser Field scored for the Ghosts but Lewis Sturman was red carded in the second half.

In the Second Round of the Norfolk Enior Cup, Swaffham Town triumphed 2-0 at Long Stratton.
