Junior athlete Charlie finishes a fantastic third aat Lotus test track

On a beautiful sunny night at the Lotus test track, West Norfolk Athletic Club’s juniors came out to rev their own engines on the flat course while some of the more senior runners made sure that their chassis still worked.

Each race used the same 2.5k course but used laps depending on the age – with a 2.5k junior race, and a 5 and 10k race available for the older juniors and seniors.

With it being very warm the runners were even treated to a paddling pool post race.

It was a great night for all who ran for the club and a thanks to Harling AC for the event.

Meanwhile, on a boiling hot day in Thetford some of the club’s juniors managed to keep their cool and come away with decent performances, even without it being PB conditions.

Despite the conditions she ran a PB in the 800 of 3.01 and got her next highest points in the howler with a big 27m throw.

In the U13 boys, Luke Anderson finished fifth, again in a big field, with 205 points.

His best performance came in the 800m with 2.56 but scored equally well across all of the other three events.
