A big field of West Norfolk drivers delivered some exceptional performances at Lynn’s Adrian Flux Arena on Saturday.
Sam Hildon was in great form in the 1500cc bangers in which he roared to success in one of the heats and also came home in tenth place in the final.
Alex Smith also continued his great form from the 1500 Icebreaker where he finished in second place in the other heat.
He was so unlucky in the meeting final, which he led until a lap to go when he clipped a dead car.
Ashley Garrod and Troy Cobbett were also in the places throughout the evening with the 1500 final being won by Diss driver Deane Mayes.
Ashley Garrod had a busy night as he also raced the 2L bangers where he was the top local finisher in the meeting final with a fifth place result.
Becca Bitson had her best night in the unlimited lady bangers at Lynn last Saturday when she took the chequered flag in the opening heat.
She followed that up by finishing in second place in the next heat and coming home a good fourth in the final.
Charlotte Coote took the chequered flag in the meeting final as she competed in her first meeting from the star grade.
Just for good measure, Amy Brown was also in the places throughout the evening.
Jake Banwell qualified for the final in the 1300 stock cars with a sixth place finish in his heat.
Banwell then came home in ninth place in the feature race.
There is a big weekend coming up at Lynn this weekend with two big meetings taking place.
Saturday (5pm) sees racing for the unlimited bangers, two-litre stock cars and junior bangers.
Harry Cobb, Ross Cooper, Sam Coote and Ashlun Woods will be racing in the unlimited bangers.
Booked in for the 2L stock cars are Keegan Sampson, Levi List and Austen Freestone whilst Jamie Steele, Sam Malkin, Jack Garrod Jnr and William Cartwright will be in action in the junior bangers.
Another big Bank Holiday Monday (1pm) takes place with the annual Wacky Races which features the 4×4 SUV bangers, Reliant Robins, micro banger crazy races, Siamese bangers and 1300 stock cars.
Harry Dungey will have a busy night whilst he competes in both the micro bangers whilst also making his debut in the Reliant Robins.
Also joining Harry in the micro bangers will be Harry Cobb, Lewis Godfrey and Perry Williamson whilst Andy Frost will be in action in the 4×4 SUV bangers and Jake Banwell and Kyle Futter will both be in action in the 1300 stock cars.
