Heacham recorded their second win of the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division season at crisis-torn Norwich United last night.

The Magpies travelled to Plantation Park with the pre-match talk being dominated by a number of Norwich players making allegations of death threats, secret filming and verbal abuse after a recent fixture.

Allegations came to light on Friday, when much-travelled striker Matt Blake took to Twitter to claim he had received death threats in front of his teammates and there was a secret camera filming them in the dressing room.

This saw a large number of Norwich United players go on strike over the issues – but Heacham did all of their talking on the pitch with a comfortable 4-0 win.

Sixteen-year-old Colby Wood got the ball rolling for David Griggs’ side with Fletcher Toll providing the assist for the opener after 15 minutes.

Eight minutes later it was 2-0 as Toll provided Luke Gray with the ammunition to double the Magpies lead.

Toll netted with a glancing header from Jack Noble’s pinpoint cross to make it 3-0 before the interval.

It was all about game management thereafter, although the Magpies were back on the scoresheet in the second half as Gray scored his second of the night.

Meanwhile, Fakenham Town and Dereham Town shared the spoils in an entertaining 1-1 draw at Clipbush Park.

Jordan Buttle broke the deadlock for the visitors on 38 minutes.

Fakenham got back into the game through an excellent free-kick courtesy of Jack Robinson in the 74th minute.

The Ghosts had the best chance to win the game as Josh Youngs’s header went narrowly over the bar.

In the Thurlow Nunn First Division North, Swaffham Town were beaten 2-1 at home by Whittlesey Athletic.
