Two new sides to the North West Norfolk League this season went head-to-head in Division Two on Saturday.Heacham Minors Development welcomed St Edmunds Hunstanton to Station Road and it was the hosts who prevailed in the battle of the new boys with a 4-0 win.Heacham ran out worthy 4-0 winners with goals from Ryan Scrivens, Tom Raisbury, Matt Skene and George Tuttle.Three red cards were dished out in the encounter which left Heacham sitting sixth in the table with St Edmunds Hunstanton in 11th spot.Gayton United saw off Gaywood 2-0, while Terrington Tigers Reserves edged out West Lynn 2-1.The Wanderers were too strong for Aburi Town with William Bannister (2), Bradley Davies, Stephen Penny and Lee Scott registering in a 5-2 win.In Division One, Dersingham Rovers A are up to third place with a 4-2 home success over Watlington FC Reserves. Two goals from Gary Bowman and a goal apiece from Sonny Devlin and Nathan Mitchell did the damage. The Woottons remain top of the pile after a Mark Smith effort was enough to see off Clenchwarton 1-0 in a tight affair. The game of the day came between West Winch William Burt and Weeting Saxon who shared seven goals.David Edgar (2), Jordan Clifford and Ryan Wilson were on target for second-placed Winch while Paul Carr, Daniel Murphy and Rhys Collins replied for Saxon. Elsewhere on Saturday, Dersingham Rovers gained their revenge against Yelverton FC, who beat them in the Norfolk Senior Cup a week ago, with a 4-0 home success in the Mummery Cup.A brace from Joe Collison and a goal apiece for Sam Peck and Scott Sutherland-Gray put the West Norfolk side in the hat for the third-round draw.Ingoldisthorpe FC’s miserable run of form continued with a 4-1 home defeat at the hands of Gayton United in the Cyril Ballyn Cup.But Marshland Saints are through to the third round of the same competition after beating Beccles Town Reserves 4-1, Callum Rogers grabbing a hat-trick and Jack Cropley netting.
