There was no shortage of action at the Adrian Flux Arena on Saturday night as nearly 70 BriSCA F1 Stock Cars and 29 MiniStox competitors delivered a thrilling evening of action.

An action-packed meeting served as the final warm-up before the World Final.

Ryan Harrison (#97) stole the headlines with a commanding display, powering to victory in Heat One, the Final and the second Grand National.

All eyes were also on Norfolk star Mat Newson (#16), with fans eager to see how he fared ahead of the sport’s biggest race in two weeks.

Local favourite Callum Gill (#457) endured a tougher evening.

Usually a regular feature at the sharp end around the Adrian Flux Arena, luck deserted him this time as he struggled to find the pace and breaks required to challenge for honours.

The MiniStox Gold Roof National Championship, sponsored by Scrapco, provided one of the night’s standout contests.

Packed with fearless young drivers, the championship served up fierce rivalries, flying bumpers and a glimpse of the sport’s future stars.

Attention now turns to Saturday (September 6), when the Lynn circuit stages the Unlimited Banger World of Shale Championship.

More than 110 cars are booked in for what is billed as the most brutal night on the banger racing calendar, featuring colossal collisions, spectacular wrecks and the quest for the coveted double gold roof stripes.

More than 30 junior bangers will also take to the track in pre-1995 cars – machines older than the drivers themselves – before the night concludes with a chaotic Destruction Derby, where the last car running takes the chequered flag.

Fans are advised to arrive early to soak up the atmosphere and grab autographs from the finalists.

Advance tickets are available with discounts on the gate price, and children under 11 go free when booked online.
