Good friends are reunited at Linnets

Reece Hall-Johnson and Kyle Callan-McFadden are together again, but there’s more in common than just the shirt they’ll be pulling on next season.Just under a month separates the pair in age, but they’ve played together in the Norwich City youth teams and will now look to relight that spark at The Walks following Hall-Johnson’s arrival from Barnet.The friendship dates back a long time, with the pair being good friends since their teenage days at Carrow Road.Like McFadden, Hall-Johnson was a member of the Canaries’ FA Youth Cup-winning side in 2013.Hall-Johnson said: “I know Macca who’s been here for a few years and he just gave me a message and asked if I’d be interested in coming after I left Barnet.”I said, well, if the manager is interested in me, I’d have a conversation. Macca is a top man. I think we grew up together at 15, 16 and we’ve always kept in contact.”I’m sure the fans will see what I see in Macca and working with him again will be brilliant as well.” The Huntingdon-based defender already has National League promotions with Wrexham and Barnet on his CV and knows what it will take to win another one with Lynn. “That doesn’t come just from me, or through just having the best players or not, it comes through having a good team, having good management and all being on the same page,” he said.”I think at the clubs I’ve been at when that’s happened, it’s clicked and I think at times we’ve deserved the promotion, so I’m really hoping that can happen here.”And the 30-year-old has promised Linnets fans full commitment as he begins another chapter in his career. “I think I can show the fans that I’m excited,” he said.”I like to take people on, I like to get up and down the line and try to make things happen. At the very minimum, I always work hard and give everything for the badge, which I’m playing for.”
