Firefighters rushed to a town centre health and beauty shop this morning.
Crews were in attendance at Superdrug in the Vancouver Quarter, with two fire engines parked up and hose reels strewn across the ground.
The police were called to the incident.
Smoke could be seen coming from the building shortly before 9am. However, it is believed this may have been a security system and the fire service was called to a false alarm.
Superdrug has been approached for comment.
