Festival fun for girls

Girls from West Norfolk Rugby Club enjoyed a fantastic Love Rugby Festival at Ipswich Rugby Club.They joined teams from around the Eastern Counties in a competitive festival held at the weekend.The Gatehouse Lane side, who cluster with North Walsham Girls, fielded teams of under-18, 16 and 14 players.This year is West Norfolk’s centenary year and it’s brilliant to see the growth in the girls’ games and with the Women’s Rugby World Cup kicking off in September 2025.Lead coach Ellen Collison said: “The girls had a brilliant turnout, and the game is building year on year.”All West girls are growing in confidence and becoming future leaders within the game.”West Norfolk are always looking for new players, open training is on Wednesdays 1730- 1900, for school years 5 to 13.Congratulations also go to talented under-16 player Lexy Flores, who has been selected to represent West Norfolk Girls at Eastern Counties this season.
