Talented Fakenham Town midfielder Jude Frostick has signed for Boston United in the National League.Frostick, 18, is the second player to leave the Ghosts for higher-league football after ex-Fakenham Town youngster Finley Whiteley signed a two-year contract with Kings Lynn Town in the National League North.Whiteley has subsequently joined Lowestoft Town on loan from the Linnets. The highly-rated Frostick joined Fakenham at the age of 15, under the guidance of James Page. He progressed rapidly through the U18s then into the first team and recently spent a spell on trial with the Pilgrims.Manager Alex Walpole said: “First of all, we are delighted for Jude.”He’s a brilliant example of how young players should conduct themselves. He works hard, he applies himself well and his attitude is spot on.”He spent a lot of last season on the bench, and when he got his chance in the team, he took it. He finished the season brilliantly and carried that on into pre-season. “We had conversations about his aspirations and told him we would never step in his way of progressing up the ladder. “He’s the second player to come through our EJA youth system and progress into the upper echelons of non-league football.”As a club, we will continue to offer young players a platform to express themselves. We’re gutted to lose him, but we wish him all the best.”The Ghosts have moved quickly to bring in fresh blood with Flynn Crosthwaite arriving at the Daly Group Stadium, where he is on a dual registration with King’s Lynn U23.”Flynn is a ball-playing centre midfielder who adds further options to our squad,” said Walpole.”We’re looking forward to seeing more of him throughout the season.”
