Brother and sister Toby and Faith Turner enjoyed plenty of success with brilliant displays at the Topper Nationals in Largs, Scotland.
Faith managed to hit her goal of top female and Toby secured a solid fourth place overall as both made it into Gold Fleet.
The six-day event consisted of three days of qualifiers and three days of finals.
On day one, Toby qualified in seventh with one race win and Faith was 15th, second female, but the next two days of qualifying were cancelled due to Storm Floris.
On day one of finals, Toby moved up to third overall and had the honour of wearing the bronze position bib and the following day he was fourth with enough points to give him some breathing space going into the final day.
On the last day, Toby secured a monumental win with a huge lead on the second race of the day, helping him finish fourth overall out of 100 boats.
Faith battled it out right to the last race with some fantastic results at the top end of the fleet to leapfrog all the girls and win the top female award. She was 23rd overall and the first female out of the top ten in Gold Fleet.
The Snettisham Beach Sailing Club duo were “absolutely delighted” with their performances to end the 2025 season.
Their winter training will be at Draycote Academy with Olympic coach Steve Irish, who supported them at Topper World Championships.
They head into their third winter with Irish but this time they are moving up to their ILCA 4 boat as they up their calendar to include both Topper and ILCA training and race events during their transition year.
