Dersingham Reserves hope for promotion-winning season

Dersingham Reserves are hoping for a promotion-winning season that will see them make the step into Anglian Combination like their first team.

With Heacham not able to enter a reserve team this season, they capitalised to sign both Ruben Dores and Ahmed Rhaouti from the Thurlow Nunn side.

Both started on the bench this weekend in the 3-2 victory at West Lynn but it was Dores who went on to score the winning goal.

For the second week in a row, Terrington claimed three points by a 4-1 scoreline.

This week it was the turn of Ingoldisthorpe Reserves to endure the defeat as Kodie Turvey, Daniel Briggs and Kurtis Calaby ensured the win.

The game was attended by league partners, The 8:56 Foundation, to show support for men’s mental health.

Finally in Division One, there was a 2-2 draw played out between AFC Lynn Reserves and Docking.

Jack Royle struck a brace for AFC whilst debutant Curtis Morais and an own goal earned the point for Docking.

Division Two is led by Weeting Saxons who once again struck double figures in the game over new side, Cowley Wanderers.

Scorers included the impressive Daniel Murphy, Harry Webster, Paul Carr and Kian Dicks.

The other sides from this division were in county cup action as they entered the first round of the Norfolk Primary cup.

An all-NWNFL tie saw Gayton A defeat Docking Reserves 2-1. Brad Tennant, Reece Witham and Ryan English on the scoresheet.

The Woottons defeated Marshland Saints 2-1 in their first home game. Frankie Wright scoring the consolation goal for Saints.

Billy Eastwood made claim to the match ball with his first hattrick of the season in a Dersingham A 3-1 win against Colkirk from the Central and South League.

Necton are from the same league, and they were outdone 3-0 by West Winch.

Watlington Development finished 5-3 victors over Shouldham with Harvey Scott hitting the net on three occasions.

However, it was the end of the cup run for both Clenchwarton Reserves and KLSC FC A as they suffered defeat away to North Elmham and Yaxham Reserves.

The North West Norfolk League were this week proud to announce The Solar Shed as main sponsors for the next two season.

The local company has been big supporters of local football for many years and both parties are excited about the prospect of the partnership.
