Dan’s the man for high-flying Weeting Saxon

Weeting Saxon are blitzing everything before them in Division Two of the Solar Shed North West Norfolk League during the opening weeks of the campaign.

An 8-1 victory at Gayton United A made it 31 goals scored in their opening three games of the new season.

Dan Murphy (4), James Langley, Paul Carr, Rhys Collins and Connor Sheppard all found the back of the net in their latest win with Murphy’s personal tally now standing at 14 goals in three games.

Second-placed West Winch William Burt also have maximum points after their opening two outings following a 9-2 demolition of Clenchwarton Reserves.

David Edgar (3), Matthew Lancefield (2), Daniel Griffith, Kai Gilkerson, Jordan Clifford and Robert Fennell registered for Burt while Bailey Took and George Munson replied for Clenchwarton.

Dersingham Rovers A sit third in the table following a 5-0 win over Marshland Saints Reserves.

Billy Eastwood (2), Joe Ellis, Charlie Case and Scott Deadman capped a fine all-round display.

Dersingham’s Man-of-the-Match was the “classy” Callum Swan and Marshland’s Man-of-the-Match was the industrious Macauley Burch.

The game was well controlled by referee Ray Vennemore.

The Woottons also remain unbeaten after their opening two fixtures.

Samuel Garner (2), Alex Kirby and Mark Smith were all on target in a 4-0 success at Watlington SSC Development.

Shouldham Youth put five past Cowley Wanderers and the goals also flowed at Docking Rangers Reserves, who put six past KLSC A in a 6-1 rout.

Thomas Hawkins (4) and Ryan English were among the scorers for Rangers with Simon Clarke bagging a consolation for KLSC A, who had Kevin Thurling sent-off.

In Solar Shed Division One, Docking Rangers remain unbeaten after their opening two games.

Hat-tricks from Curtis Morais and Michael Wood set them on their way to a 7-1 victory on the road at Dersingham Rovers Reserves with Ashley Woodhouse netting the seventh.

KLSC Reserves had two-goal Joshua Gray to thank as they edged out Watlington SSC Reserves 3-2.

Daniel Berry was also on the scoresheet for KLSC, while Tom Gilbert replied with a brace for the visitors.

West Lynn’s interest in the Norfolk Junior Cup was ended by a 10-0 defeat at Scole United Reserves.
