Czech charger Jan Kvech says he’s keen to return to the Premiership next season. And that will be music to the ears of King’s Lynn fans, with Kvech becoming a massive favourite after joining the club back in June. The 22-year-old had never previously ridden in the UK league, but was keen to add to his experience and took the advice of Stars legend Tomas Topinka that Lynn would be a good choice. He came into the team at a difficult time when the club had lost the services of Vadim Tarasenko and Tobiasz Musielak, but his scoring gave them an immediate boost. And the good news is that having completed two-thirds of the campaign with the club, he wants to return from the start in 2025.Kvech said: “I want to come back next season, because it’s more experience for me riding in the UK.“It’s been a new experience, I’ve enjoyed riding in the UK and I want to come back. “I was very happy to win the last home meeting, the whole team was very good, and it was a good atmosphere in the team. “We have been using more guest riders but there’s still always been a good atmosphere with those guest riders.“I feel very good in the team, and I’ve been very happy with the season in the UK.”Kvech played a big part in the Stars’ excellent end to the season, racking up big points in the home wins over Oxford and Leicester which left them in a respectable position albeit adrift of the play-off places. And his form for Lynn allowed him to extend his UK campaign as this week he was guesting for Ipswich in the semi-finals against Leicester.Kvech will no doubt be towards the top of Stars’ priority list for next year, and unusually for a team finishing sixth out of seven, minor tweaks rather than wholesale changes may be required.Top of the requirements naturally will be a team of riders committed to the UK – which Kvech clearly demonstrated this year – as well as avoiding the dreaded injury curse.
