KES got off to a flyer with an early try from Riley Hunt but this was all they had to show for their early domination. Springwood stayed in the game and grew in confidence. KES continued to probe but couldn’t find another.Although the team came under pressure in the final minutes, KES defended excellently to clinch their county success.Team coach Danny Gay said: “Winning a county cup is never easy, and these boys should be proud. “They have produced lifetime memories with each other. Our culture is built on creating moments, and these boys definitely have done this.”With many playing at West Norfolk RFU, It continues to show our link with them in developing young rugby players.”KES principal Darren Hollingsworth added: “We are beyond proud of our Year 9 boys for their commitment and teamwork in securing the county cup. “It is testament to their spirit that they persevered and battled hard. They are ambassadors for KES and role models for our younger pupils.”This is just one of the very special moments the community should be proud that they brought the trophy home to King’s Lynn.”
